Beginners Level 1 Rolerotation partnerdance

This class is your solid start into the world of bachata. Wheter you are completely new to this dance, or want to learn the other role form the start, this is where you build your foundation.

Mondays & Thursday

Improvers - rolerotation partnerdance

In Improvers, we take it up a notch. Combinations become more layered, transitions smoother, and musicality more intentional. You’ll also start working with more sensual movement like body waves, isolations, and more challenging turns.
This level is also great for intermediate dancers who want to refine their technique, improve connection, and add more depth to their dancing.
Using our RoleRotation approach, you’ll develop both sides of the dance, improving timing, awareness, and flow so everything starts to feel more natural and connected.

Styling/All around dance technique *OPen level

This class is where your dancing becomes truly yours. Each week we work on a new technical or styling topic designed to help you grow as an all-around dancer. Expect focused training on:

spins & turning technique
head movement
arm styling & body awareness
clean footwork
mobility & stretching musicality

Intermediate - rolerotation partnering

This level is for dancers who are ready to move beyond the basics and explore a deeper level of Bachata.
You should have an Intermediate level in at least one role (Leader or Follower) and an Improver level in the other role. You feel comfortable with the fundamentals and are ready to challenge yourself with more complex movements, better technique, musicality, and connection.
This is where you start refining your personal style, becoming more versatile, and developing the skills needed to truly express yourself on the dance floor as a (rolerotation) dancer

Synergy Dance Academy is the first dance school in the Netherlands without fixed gender roles in dance. We create a space where everyone feels welcome, equal, and free on the dance floor. That is our mission, our legacy!

At Synergy, we approach bachata differently.
We teach through RoleRotation. A method where every dancer learns both leading and following. Instead of being fixed in one role, you experience both sides of the dance.

This is at the heart of what we do.

By rotating roles, you don’t just learn steps, you understand how the dance truly works:

stop overthinking and enjoy movement
feel confident no matter which role you dance
stay on beat and in sync with the music
feel grounded, balanced, and in control
connect smoothly with anyone you dance with
feel free to express yourself and dance without limits

Learning to both guide and respond makes you a more complete dancer. It also builds communication, empathy, and adaptability on the dance floor.
RoleRotation also opens the door to dance more freely.
You’re not limited by traditional roles or expectations, you can dance with anyone. With friends, your partner, or people of any gender.
RoleRotation is more than switching roles.
It’s about breaking limitations and creating a more open, inclusive way to dance.

Dillon is the ultimate vibe creator and social dance specialist, captivating every room with his infectious energy, smooth connection, and an endless arsenal of impressive moves. Did you know he is a pro in dancing bachatrio too?!

Teacher
Romy is a powerhouse dancer known for her precision, passion, and expression. With a sharp eye for technique, she translates musicality into movement. In her classes, she brings the instrumental soul of bachata to life while guiding dancers to explore their own style and creativity.

Esther brings a calm and gentle energy to every class. Her teaching is clear, patient and supportive, making every student feel comfortable to learn.
While you’re dancing, she’s always observing. She notices the little details and offers personal feedback when it’s needed, making sure everyone keeps growing with confidence.
